History
It would be easy to harp on about
previous issues and the gradual
interest which built up over the
years, but let's not go over old
ground. Instead, as it is our
anniversary, let's define the
history of our magazine not in
articles and milestones, but in
terms of people and their
contributions.
For example, the first people who
contributed : Bill Ells, Mike
Samworth, Andrew Syred, Anne
Bruce, Marly Cain, Mike Morgan...
but to name a few. These were the
first people to help build the
magazine.
Quickly others followed from
around the world (to date 139 contributors
from 24 countries):-

Each of these people are now
permanently remembered for their
contribution not only to Micscape
Magazine, but to the pursuit of
microscopy and its use in
exploring our
world.
How? Well, the magazine is ISSN
registered in the UK. Every 25
issues we submit the entire
contents of Micscape Magazine on a
CD for archiving in the British
Library.
This means that whatever
ultimately is the fate of our
magazine, these people along with
their contributions will be
remembered. People in the future,
and I suspect we are talking here
about long into the future, will
be able to dig back through time
and understand
the
selflessness
our contributors have shown by
allowing us to publish their
contributions
here.
Micscape Magazine fills a useful
niche for amateurs,
enthusiasts, students, and
professionals alike to informally
share their skills and enthusiasm
online to a wide audience.
