ANNOUNCEMENT OF MEETING FOR MEMBERS OF THE

QUEKETT MICROSCOPICAL CLUB /POSTAL MICROSCOPICAL SOCIETY

 

To QMC and PMS members

THE NEXT QMC & PMS MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN GROUP IS ON SATURDAY 20 MAY 2000 AT THE VILLAGE HALL, LANGTON MATRAVERS, DORSET.

Please note this meeting is again in the Village Hall. at Langton Matravers, near Swanage, Dorset. The Hall is opposite the church and there is parking outside or behind the church.

As usual members are invited to bring their microscopes, slides, exhibits, etc. There is a need for mains extension cables so if you can bring your own it will help. Sockets are 13 amp. If you have any special requirements please let us know. You may arrive any time after 9.30 a.m. to allow time for setting up. The meeting will close about 4.30 p.m.

As usual with these meetings we may have visitors, (students and members of the public), wishing to talk about microscopy and view our specimens. It is unlikely that there will be many visitors - we anticipate perhaps about 10 but in addition there may be some young people from a nearby school (with a teacher!).

If you would like to come to this meeting, please reply before the end of March 2000 as we must confirm the booking of the hall. Cheques should be made payable to D.C. Stevens at the address below. The cost is £3.50 to include the hire of the room and tea or coffee. Bring your own lunch or there is a good pub serving hot or cold food 5O yards down the road - the hall will be occupied and secured during lunch time.
