Editor's note: Christina Brodie has kindly offered a selection of her excellent artwork to share with Micscape readers. Christina writes:'I started doing botanical painting in 1998, having come from an artistic background, and became totally fascinated by what could be seen under the microscope! I particularly enjoy drawing plant sections (with help from a camera lucida), macro-sized objects such as flower parts and seeds, and the surfaces and textures of leaves - for example, a lavender leaf can be seen to be covered with star-shaped hairs when viewed under the microscope. I teach botanical painting, and also work as a garden designer.'
